52 parties to compete in parliamentary elections, 22 others for Adjarian Supreme Council

By 6 p.m. on October 1, 52 political parties, including 2 election blocs out of the registered 58 political entities had presented their party lists to the Central Election Commission.

As the submission of party lists has expired, the CEC Spokesperson Ana Mikeladze said that now the lists need to be verified.

The political entities which did not submit their party lists by 6 p.m. today include:

  • Georgian Nationalists’ Union
  • Tribune
  • Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic Path
  • Iberians’ Unity
  • Georgia’s Unity and Development Party
  • Georgian Pensioners’ Rights Protection Union

All of them will have their election registration abolished.

Meanwhile, 22 political parties out of 25 will compete for 21 seats (3 majoritarian and 18 proportional) on the Adjara Supreme Council.
