One injured in shooting  in Georgian Rugby Union

Ramaz Kharazishvili, a member of the Georgian Rugby Union,  has been injured in  a shooting in  the building of the Rugby Union earlier today.

Kharazishvili received injuries to his leg. His life is not in danger. All employees of the Rugby Union are cooperating with the police”, Tornike Gogebashvili, acting president of the Rugby Union told 1TV.ge.

Gogebashvili claims he does not know why Kharazishvili was attacked.

IPN reports that Kharazishvili was allegedly shot by the vice-president of the Rugby Union, Merab Beselia, who did so following a dispute with Kharazishvili.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the illegal purchase, possession and carrying of a firearm, damage to health.
