Court sentences 2 for 15 years in prison for attempted premeditated murder of first president’s son

Tato Gharibashvili and Giorgi Sologashvili, detained for the attempted premeditated murder of Tsotne Gamsakhurdia, the son of the first president of Georgia on December 21, have been sentenced to 15 years in prison today.

Two other individuals, Kakha Chkhetiani and Petre Kuparadze, accused of failure to report the above-mentioned crime, have also been sentenced to four and five years in prison.

Tsotne Gamsakhurdia, the son of the first president of Georgia, Zviad Gamsakhurdia was wounded in Tbilisi on Gali Street, near his residence on December 19, 2019.

As a result of serious head injuries, Gamsakhurdia was in critical condition for several months. As of now, his health condition has relatively improved.
