CEO of the US International Development Finance Corporation Adam Boehler has tweeted tht he looks forward to working with the Georgian government 'as we continue building our strategic and economic relationship with Georgia'.
Boehler's post came after last week's video conference with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.
Great to connect with Ambassador Kelly C. Degnan today following my call last week with @GakhariaGiorgi. I look forward to working together as we continue building our strategic and economic relationship with Georgia! @usingeo pic.twitter.com/3LXwZ8Osf7

During the video conference Gakharia and Boehler discussed the ongoing and future projects of the US International Development Finance Corporation and emphasised the role of the corporation in supporting the development of the private sector of Georgia and especially during the coronavirus pandemic.
While talking with Boehler last week Gakharia noted the importance of possibly signing a free trade agreement between Georgia and the United States that would further deepen the economic relationship between the strategic partners.
In response to Boehler's tweet Gakharia said today that 'we will continue to strengthen the Georgia-US strategic partnership and create new economic opportunities in close cooperation with the talented professionals of the US Embassy'.
