Three new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Georgia, 207 active infections

Georgian health agencies have reported three new confirmed cases of the new coronavirus on Saturday, with the number of active infections at 207.
The new cases, all of them imported, continue an overall downward trend since daily confirmed infections rose in the last week to over 10.
Marina Ezugbaia, Director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infections Diseases, told local media the new cases were all identified in truck drivers entering the country from Azerbaijan and Russia.
The daily update also shows 947 total recoveries since the start of the outbreak, from 1,171 cases of infection.
Of the 207 patients undergoing treatment, five are in serious or critical condition.
Over 225,000 people have been tested for COVID-19 in the country.
More than 2,400 locals of Karajalari village in Gardabani municipality in eastern Georgia, which is under lockdown, have been tested for the coronavirus with the use of PCR tests, Kvemo Kartli governor Shota Rekhviashvili stated earlier today.
Georgia has reported eight new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 1,168. 940 of the 1,168 patients have recovered, while 17 others have died. As of today 211 people remain infected with COVID-19 in the country. Five of eight new cases are imported (two are truck drivers), one is from Gachiani settlement of Gardabani municipality, one is a medical personnel, one had contact with an infected individual.
A 17th person has died of coronavirus complications in Georgia earlier today. The woman had several underlying conditions and had been undergoing treatment for a long time in Mtskheta Medical Centre in eastern Georgia. As of today Georgia has had 1,160 cases of the coronavirus. 935 of the 1,160 patients have recovered, while 17 others have died. As of today 208 people remain infected with COVID-19 in the country.
Four of the eight new cases are imported (two of the four are truck drivers), one is a medical personnel, one is from Lilo open market in Tbilisi, one is from Gchiani settlement of Gardabani municipality (eastern Georgia), while the remaining one does not know how he contracted the virus.
Georgia's pandemic response agencies reported six new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, with half of them imported from abroad.
