Two Georgian citizens, with a previous criminal history, have been detained by Georgian police for membership in the criminal underworld and illegal possession of weapons and drugs.
The Georgian Interior Ministry says that the two threatened individuals and businesses on behalf of criminal bosses and extorted money.
The brother of one of the detainees is a criminal boss who currently lives abroad.
Police have seized weapons and heroin from the detainees’ apartments.
