Georgia to produce football uniforms for Liverpool, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund football

'Made in Georgia' will be printed on labels on the inside of the uniforms of Liverpool, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund, reports Radio Free.

Director of Ajara Textile Gia Lominadze told Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty that the factory will start releasing the uniforms at the end of October.
Lominadze said that the factory will employ locals, including residents of Gardabani, Marneuli and from nearby villages. All of them will undergo training.
At the first stage 15 million GEL will be invested in the factory while the total volume of the investment is 20 million GEL, said Lominadze.
“We are proud that many famous athletes across the world wear a uniform sewn with the inscription 'Made in Georgia’”, Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava said at the launch of the construction of a new textile factory in Rustavi today.
Local textile enterprise Ajara Textile is building its fourth factory in Georgia which will create 3,000 jobs in four months, announces the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia who attended the event that marked the launch of the construction of the new factory.
Products of some of the world’s biggest sportswear manufacturers, including Nike, Puma, New Balance and Under Armour, will soon be made in Georgia’s Black Sea port town of Poti.
