Georgia reports 5 new cases of coronavirus, 107 remain infected with COVID-19

Georgia has reported five new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 963.
Four of the five new cases are imported (three are truck drivers), while the remaining one had contact with an infected individual inside the country.

841 of the 963 patients have recovered, while 15 others have died.
As of today 107 people remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.

Since then more than 125,000 people have been tested for the coronavirus.
Most of the new cases over the past several days were imported (truck drivers).

As of today 105 people remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia. Georgia reported its first case of the coronavirus at the end of February 2020. Since then more than 120,000 people have been tested for the virus.
Swimming pools and gyms will open in Georgia after inspections by the Labour Conditions Inspection Department.
Activity at Georgia’s land borders is being effectively monitored, Georgian PM Giorgi Gakharia stated earlier today, but noted the government does not plan to ‘take any fast steps’, and so land borders will not be opening yet.
The UNDP is joining hands with the government of Sweden to support the National Center for Disease Control of Georgia train 4,000 health workers across the country in enhanced infection prevention and control.
