New attraction in Tbilisi – air balloon rides in Rike Park

Residents and tourists of Tbilisi can now enjoy a trip by air balloon in Rike Park starting July 9.

The air balloon flies up to 150 meters high.

The balloon is rightfully considered the safest aircraft in the world and, like any aircraft, it is weather resistant for safe use,” says the website of Tbilisi’s new attraction.

The flight in the helium balloon can accommodate up to 30 people and lasts 15 minutes.

The website says that in order to ensure complete flight safety, the balloon does not fly in windy weather, and is equipped with wind forecast apparatus. 

Ticket price varies from 25 GEL ($8.19/€7.25)  to 50 GEL ($16.38/€14.5) for different categories of people. For Georgian residents it costs 35 GEL ($11.46/€10.15), while for non-residents of Georgia it will cost 50 GEL. Children from 3 to 14 years old and people with disabilities will pay only 25 GEL. Tickets can be bought on the website or at the box office. The purchased ticket is valid for one month after purchase.
