Russia has released Georgian shepherd Davit Vardoshvili who was detained for illegally crossing the Russia-Georgia border on June 13.

The Georgian Interests Section of the Embassy of Switzerland in Russia and the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs negotiated between the Georgian and Russian sides for the secure release of David Vardoshvili.
Negotiations are underway to secure the release of a Georgian citizen who was detained for illegally crossing the border by Russian border guards at the Dagestan section of the Russia-Georgia border on June 13, reports the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Georgian citizen Maia Otinashvili, 37, has been illegally detained by Russian-backed so called border guards in the village of Khurvaleti, Gori municipality, near the occupation line of Tskhinvali (South Ossetia).
Two border guards who disappeared while on duty are expected to be returned to Georgia by Russia on June 29, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia says.
High school student from village Chvirnisi located near the occupation line of Tskhinvali has been arrested by the so called border guards.
