26 more individuals recover from coronavirus in Georgia

Georgia has reported 26 more recoveries from the coronavirus this morning increasing the total  number of recovered patients to 419.

Meanwhile, six more people tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday, bringing the total number of the cases to 677. 

Unfortunately, twelve people have died from the virus-related complications, while 246 people remain infected.

Although Georgia lifted some of the restrictions within the state of emergency as the rate of coronavirus infection is currently decreasing in the country, in order to preserve the ‘positive trend’ health officials calls on citizens to:

• Wash hands frequently
• Avoid public gatherings
• Maintain social distancing
• Use face masks in closed spaces

However, 93 citizens have violated the state of emergency regulations during the last 24 hours throughout the country.

Meanwhile, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality of Georgia Ketevan Tsikhelashvili recently stated that the number of individuals infected with the coronavirus is increasing in Russian-occupied regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali.
