Heads of three oil distribution companies detained for depriving budget of 3.5 mln GEL

Heads of three oil selling entities in Georgia have been detained for the use of false customs documents which resulted in 3,558,799 GEL (more than one million USD) in damages to the state budget. 

The Georgian Chief Prosecutor’s Office will appeal to the court today to send the individuals to pretrial detention.

The detainees face four to seven years in prison if they are found guilty.
