Georgian figure skaters Alina Butaeva and Luka Berulava earned top honours at the onloing Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne on Wednesday as they claimed gold in a Mixed National Olympic Committees team event.
As part of Team Courage, a group composed through a draw of skaters from various countries competing for the Mixed NOC contest, the pair ascended on the top step of the podium to add to their success from last week.
The young skaters earned the result in the special section of the Youth Olympics where competitors are selected considering their previous results in individual sections, with eight teams facing each other at the Lausanne event.

Team Courage, which also involved Estonia's Arlet Levandi and Kseniia Sinitsyna of Russia for singles fixtures as well as Japan's Yoshida Utana and Nishiyama Shingo for pairs, emerged victorious after the multi-hour competition in the Mixed NOC section.
Butaeva and Berulava, who claimed bronze medals in regular competition sections last week, appeared as part of the winning team at the Lausanne Skating Arena.
Georgia is represented by 10 young Olympians entering competitions in figure skating, ski jumping, alpine skiing and luge. Athletes from 79 nations are competing in the Swiss city.
The Youth Olympic Games is set to run for another week.
