USAID helps Georgia prepare for strong economic recovery

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is helping the government of Georgia develop a post-coronavirus recovery plan that focuses on increased employment opportunities, announces the United States Embassy in Georgia.

Meanwhile, USAID said that the rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic means supporting families in need.

This month, the Women’s Leadership School supported by USAID and the International Republican Institute (IRI) launched a charity drive to support single mothers in need of financial support during the pandemic.

So far, the Women's Leadership School has collected 4,500 GEL (about $1,399/€1,287) in donations and helped 43 single mothers during the pandemic.
