Police have fined 182 people for violating state of emergency regulations and curfew during the last 24 hours in Georgia.
- 78 individuals were fined for violating the curfew regulations
- 38 individuals were fined for violating rules of transportation and driving
- 66 individuals were fined for public gathering and violating 2-meter distance

Individuals who violate the state of emergency regulations face a fine of 3,000 GEL, while legal entities have to pay a fine of 15,000 GEL; repeat offence is punishable by three years in prison.

As of now, Georgia has confirmed a total of 408 cases of COVID-19, including 97 recoveries and four deaths.
Meanwhile, the Georgian government has appealed to President Salome Zurabishvili to extend the state of emergency until May 22.
Police officer Soso Gabriadze, who was detained for shooting and killing a woman accidentally on April 20 in Tbilisi, will face more serious charges.
The number of coronavirus cases stands at 408 in Georgia as of April 21. 95 of the 408 individuals have recovered, while four people have died. With countrywide restrictions on private vehicle use imposed by the Georgian government on Friday to ramp up its efforts against the coronavirus outbreak, the capital city's streets were uncharacteristically quiet over the weekend, and citizens were out enjoying springtime.
Georgia has reported three new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 411. 98 of the 411 people have recovered, while four others have died. As of today 307 individuals inside the country remain infected with the coronavirus. 5,160 people are under quarantine and 579 others in hospitals.
The state of emergency is likely to be extended in Georgia until May 22, while the restrictions on the private car use, which entered into force on April 17, will be maintained through April 26. The government has already appealed to the president regarding the extension of the state of emergency which was declared on March 21. 'The restrictions on the private vehicle use around the country will be gradually lifted starting April 27,” the PM’s Spokesman Irakli Chikovani said earlier today.
