‘Georgia’s strength is in its diversity’, PM sends warm wishes on Novruz holiday

Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has sent his warm wishes on Novruz to the local Azerbaijani population in the Marneuli district of eastern Georgia in the Azerbaijani language and stated that the country’s strength is in its diversity.

I wish you a happy Novruz [the coming of spring].  The centuries-old history of Georgia is a story of unity, love and brotherhood. Georgia’s strength has always been in its diversity,” Bakhtadze stated, while attending festive events in the district.

He stated that all the citizens of the country, no matter their ethnicity, have equally fought for the development and prosperity of the common homeland.

I want to send kind wishes on the day to our brothers and sisters in Azerbaijan and wish them all the best,” Bakhtadze said.

Bakhtadze visited the region with Georgian Reconciliation and Civil Equality Minister Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili visited the Gardabani district in the Kvemo Kartli region of Georgia yesterday to send kind wishes on the Novruz holiday.
