Officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of Georgia’s Interior Ministry have arrested one person, identified only as N.Dz., for the illegal purchase and possession of drugs as well as their transportation to Georgia.
The police officers arrested the individual at Tbilisi International Airport.
Law enforcers seized more than 80 grams of a narcotic substance and 50 pills of methadone when searching the detainee.
An investigation is in progress. The detainee faces from eight to 20 years in prison or a life sentence.
