President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic will visit Georgia in the near future as agreed between him and the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze at a meeting held at the 55th Munich Security Conference.
We agreed to continue the high level dialogue. We are glad that our bilateral relations are improving on every day basis. I invited PM Bakhtadze to Montenegro, he also invited me to Georgia and I accepted with pleasure,” Milo Djukanovic said adding that Georgia and Montenegro are allies.
The two leaders said they are ready to intensify bilateral relations and economic ties, especially emphasising the rich potential in terms of tourism development and need for sharing each other's experience in this regard.
Georgia goes into the new year holding 51st place on the Henley Passport index, with citizens enjoying visa-free/visa-on-arrival access to 114 destinations – two countries more than in 2018.
From now on citizens of Georgia can travel visa free to Montenegro, the Georgian Foreign Ministry announced today.

Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic is paying an official visit to Georgia for the first time in the history of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Montenegro. President Djukanovic will be welcomed by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili at the Orbeliani Presidential Palace where an official welcoming ceremony will take place, after which the two presidents will have a face-to-face meeting and a joint briefing.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili and Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic have discussed the geopolitical condition of the two countries at the meeting earlier today and noted that despite the differences between Georgia and Montenegro the countries have a lot of similarities. "We have come to the common conclusion that more EU involvement is important in the Western Balkans as well as in the Caucasus,” Zurabishvili stated.
