Georgia generated $220 million from the sale of 86 million bottles of wine abroad – 20% increase compared to the same period of 2018, announces the Ministry of Agriculture.

Export of wine has increased to strategic markets:
- Poland – 24% increase (3,746,092 bottles)
- China – 1% (6,323,463 bottles)
- United States – 48% (660,874 bottles)
The other top wine export countries are:
- Lithuania – 48% (653,322 bottles)
- Germany – 40% (615,723 bottles)
- Belarus – 68% (2,505,617 bottles)
- Israel – 81% (287,023 bottles)
- Estonia – 27% (648,884 bottles)
- Russia – 11% (53,964,172 bottles)
- Moldova – 8,551% (612,524 bottles)
- Netherlands – 22% (612,524 bottles)
- Czech Republic – 17% (67,584 bottles)
- Bulgaria – 23% (32,934 bottles)
- Mongolia – 5% (224,652 bottles)
323 companies exported Georgian wine in the last 11 months of 2019.

The total income from Chacha export have reached $1,6 million (+56%) in the last 11 months of 2019.
Georgian amber wines are one step closer to becoming 8th on the International Organisation for Vine and Wine (OIV) list.
Georgia exported about 19.4 million bottles of wine to 37 countries in the first quarter (Q1) of 2019, which is a 10% increase compared to the same period of 2018, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency.
Georgia exported about 12.2 million bottles of wine to 32 countries in January-February 2019, which is a 13% increase compared to the same period of 2018, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency. Last month Georgia generated $30 million from the sale of wine abroad – 21% increase year-on-year.
In January-November 2019, Georgia earned $220 million from wine exports, which is an increase of 20 per cent compared to the same period of 2018, announces the Ministry of Agriculture.
Georgia exported about 6.25 million bottles of wine to 24 countries in January 2019, which is a 22% increase compared to the same month of 2018, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency.
Georgia takes 18th place among the world’s top wine exporting countries in 2018 by income generated by sales based on the paper “World’s top 60 wine exporting countries by value in 2018” published by the American Association of Wine Economists (AAWE).
