Vice Prime Minister Maia Tskitishvili has met with Johannes Hahn, the European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations and discussed a new initiative to choose Georgian focus regions and carry out new projects based on their needs.
The sides also discussed EU-Georgian relations, Georgian ongoing reforms, the education sector and political situation.
Hahn made note of successful Georgian development, relations with the EU and huge progress in the country in recent years.

At the meeting, European support was also noted which is reflected in many projects carried out in Georgia with the support of the European Union.
The sides also discussed the future steps to take in the direction of European integration.
The meeting was carried out in the framework of the EBRD Eastern Partnership (EaP) Investment Summit taking place in the headquarters of the EBRD, in London, England today.
