The first agricultural drone has been registered in Georgia to aid in the aerial application of pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides, bringing new levels of efficiency and manageability to Georgian agriculture.
The drone is also capable of taking spectral images that allows for the analysis and monitoring of soil and plant structures.
The combination of speed and power means that an area of 4,000-6,000 m² can be covered in just 10 minutes, or 40 to 60 times faster than manual spraying operations. The intelligent spraying system automatically adjusts its spray according to the flight speed so that an even spray is always applied.
The amount of pesticide or fertilizer is precisely regulated to avoid pollution and economise operations”, reads the description of the agricultural drone.
The maximum flight speed is 15 m/s and the maximum height of the flight is 2,000 meters above sea level. All unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) weighting more than 5 kg, are subject to mandatory registration in Georgia.
