Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Garibashvili has met with Georgian soldiers in Hohenfels, Germany, where they are undergoing mandatory training before joining the NATO Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan.
Garibashvili attended the training with US generals, who gave positive assessments to the readiness of Georgian soldiers, the Georgian Defence Ministry reports.

Before leaving for Germany the soldiers underwent a four-month mandatory training course in Georgia, on the Krtsanisi military base.
Georgia is the biggest, non-NATO member contributor to the Resolute Support Mission with 870 soldiers.
A new wave of over 100 Georgian soldiers will soon leave for a NATO peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan for seven months, announces the Ministry of Defence of Georgia.
One hundred Georgian soldiers from the 11th battalion of the 1st Infantry brigade and 21st battalion from the 2nd Infantry Brigade have left for the NATO peace mission in Afghanistan equipped with bulletproof vests and armor helmets made in Georgia by the State Military Scientific-Technical Center Delta.
One hundred Georgian soldiers from the 4th mechanized brigade have left for Afghanistan for the NATO Resolute Support Mission today.
Georgian soldiers are officially engaged in the Resolute Support (RS) mission in Afghanistan.
Georgian Defence MInister Irakli Garibashvili will attend the meetings of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Defence Ministers at the NATO Headquarters, which is held in Brussels on October 24-25. He will also meet with the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, as well as his counterparts from Finland, Poland, Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
