Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia met with his Azerbaijani counterpart, newly appointed Prime Minister Ali Asadov, as well as the Speaker of the National Assembly Ogtay Asadov during his visit to Baku today.
Meeting with the Azerbaijani officials, PM Gakharia underscored that Georgia and Azerbaijan are “friends and reliable partners and nothing can get in the way of their successful cooperation”.

The high-level meetings reaffirmed Azerbaijan's strong support for Georgia's territorial integrity, PM’s press office reported. It also stressed that such visits "demonstrate the importance of the strategic partnership" between the two neighbouring countries.

Meeting with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev earlier today, PM Gakharia said the “visit will once again show our allies and friends that there are no problems between the two countries which have not been settled in a friendly and brotherly manner.”
