The Georgian Interior Ministry says they have detained a man who stole 133,000 GEL ($45,000) from the safe of the Coca-Cola Georgia office.
The ministry reports that the detainee, who is 38 years old, was an employee of the company.
The detainee went to the cashier’s room of the Coca-Cola headquarters, stole the money from the safe and went on the run,” the ministry says.
The stolen money has been seized from the car of the detainee, Interior Ministry stated.
The crime is punishable by six to ten years in prison.
