Police officers have seized especially large quantities of drugs in the town of Marneuli, in the Kvemo Kartli region and arrested one, identified only as I.G. yesterday.
Police report that the detainee, born in 1967, faced charges in past and currently is on parole.
The law enforcers have seized narcotic substance that consisted of 30 gram of heroine as a result of personal search of the detainee.
The detainee faces from eight to twenty years in jail.

Police detained four for drug offenses including two drug dealers on August 11. Two of the detainees were arrested on the Tbilisi – Senaki – Leselidze highway. 1,002 pills of Subutex and 293 pills of MDMA were seized as the police officers searched the vehicle.
The Georgian Interior Ministry has detained a Georgian citizen for illegal purchase and possession of about 60gr of heroin in Kvemo Kartli region in the country's east. The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
