One of Georgia’s most popular channels, TV Pirveli, is under cyberattack, the channel has announced.
The statement published by the TV company reads that the cyberattack took place this morning and caused the “complete paralysis of the channel”.
This morning a cyberattack took place on the central server of the channel, causing complete paralysis of the channel, making it impossible to fully broadcast the channel”, read the statement.
TV Pirveli’s broadcast was still suspended as of the time of publication.
The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office has published the letter claimed by TBC Bank founder Mamuka Khazaradze to contain threats from Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia.
Georgian Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia claims that a cyber-attack on the leading Georgian bank TBC was identified and responded to several weeks before the address of bank officials.
TBC Bank Founder Mamuka Khazaradze says that he has sent a letter he claimed he received from Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia and which allegedly included threats against him and TBC Bank, to London to be studied, while a copy has been handed to the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office.
The Georgian Chief Prosecutor’s Office has dismissed a statement made yesterday by TBC Bank founder Mamuka Khazaradze that he had informed prosecutors regarding the“threatening letter” he received from Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia ahead of the second round of Georgian presidential elections in November 2018.
