Police detain seven for fraudulent acquisition of state property

The Georgian police have detained seven people for the acquisition of state property in a fraudulent manner, with the use of falsified documents, several days ago.

Police have reported that the detainees registered 9,000 m2 state-owned land plots along the Tbilisi Sea by means of falsified invoices and delivery and acceptance certificates

The market cost of the land plots exceeds 164,000 GEL ($56,068/€ 50043).

The detainees face from six to nine years in jail.
