The Georgian team of U19 athletes has won six medals at 2019 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival underway in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Georgian freestyle wrestlers Luka Gugeshashvili (48 kg) and Davit Abdaladze (60 kg) were awarded silver and bronze medals.
Greco-Roman wrestlers Khvicha Abuladze (48 kg) and Nika Broladze (60 kg) earned silver and Bronze medals as well.
On the first day of the festival freestyle wretler Nikoloz Santeladze (45 kg) and Greco-Roman wrestler Romeo Beridze (55 kg) won silver medals.
Georgian tennis players Katrin Esadze and Lizi Dolidze defeted an Austrian duet and were allowed to compete in the second round of the duet competition.
As of the data of July 22, the Georgian team is ranked 9th with four silver and two bronze medals.
A total of 3,600 athletes aged 14 to 18 including 36 Georgians participate in the 15th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival on July 21-27.
