Georgian Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili also attended the conference and talked about Georgian winemaking traditions and history.

As you know Georgia is the cradle of wine, the oldest centre of winemaking. Therefore, Georgia is very interesting for many researchers and scientists. For specialists from Bordeaux it is interesting to bring innovation to the country of the biggest traditions”, Davitashvili said.

Davitashvili added that cooperation with wine professionals from Bordeaux is a priority for Georgia as Bordeaux “is the centre of modern winemaking, and is the leader in terms of innovations and technologies”.
