Georgia marks day of national costumes

Georgia is celebrating the Day of National Costume with open-air carnival events all across the country.

The date is being marked with a number of events in over 30 towns in Georgia. 

Main activities start at 3pm and include exhibitions, performances and concerts. Photo: Defence Ministry

Milan and Pereidan are also joining in this year’s celebrations.

By joining in, both Georgian and  foreign participants will have an opportunity to get better familiar with the country’s cultural and historical heritage.
