Georgia is hosting the United Nations (UN) Permanent Representatives from the Dominican Republic, Eswatini, Finland, Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia and Senegal.
The ambassadors arrived on April 14. They have already met with President Salome Zurabishvili, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani.

During the meetings with Georgian leaders, the ambassadors were informed on Georgia’s reform agenda and the human rights and security situation in the country’s occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) regions.

The UN permanent representatives visited the village of Khurvaleti at the occupation line with breakaway Tskhinvali and an IDP settlement in Tserovani. They also travelled to Georgia's seaside region of Adjara and eastern region of Kakheti.
The permanent representatives are scheduled to leave Georgia on April 21.
