The Tbilisi zoo has sheltered two bear-cubs found by a citizen in the village of Zeda Orbeli, Tsageri municipality, in the west of the country.
The individual phoned the Environment Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia and announced that he found two bear-cubs near a forest,” the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture announced.

The bear-cubs are a rare breed of the brown bear, which is in the red list of Georgia which lists threatened species.
Hunting this breed of bear is strongly prohibited and is punishable by law.
