Gov’t gifts houses to 53 eco-migrant families

The government of Georgia has allocated funds to buy houses to 53 eco-migrant families in the country’s Samegrelo region, in the west of Georgia.

The families were able choose houses within $10,000.

Most of the houses came with agricultural land plots.

The government, with the help of its Ministry of Refugees, has gifted houses to more than 1,000 eco-migrant families since 2013.

The government plants to purchase about 445 houses for eco-migrants this year in the countries coastal Adjara region.

70 houses have already been purchased.
