Georgian Parliamentary Speaker sums up US visit

Georgian Parliamentary Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze ended his one-week working visit to the United States (US).

Summing up his visit to the US, Kobakhidze said Georgia has strong support from the American partners.

We held very positive meetings during the visit, met with dozens of senators, congressmen and spoke about our strategic partnership. We also thanked our American friends for their support”, Kobakhidze said stressing the US partners welcome the positive changes various fields in Georgia.

He said Georgia’s integration with NATO has been one of the main issues that the Parliamentary Speaker discussed with his American colleagues. According to Kobakhidze, Georgia has strong support from the US.

Having left to the US last Saturday Kobakhidze met with high ranking executive officials, lawmakers and international think tanks who pledged their support to Georgia’s further development and territorial integrity.
