Former President of France Nicolas Sarkozy will come to Georgia to attend the inauguration ceremony of Georgian president-elect Salome Zurabishvili on Sunday, Georgian IPN news agency reports.
The agency says that the Georgian government has already received Sarkozy’s acceptance of the invitation.
As of now, the Armenian president, parliament speakers and ministers of foreign affairs of several foreign countries will attend the ceremony in the east Georgian town of Telavi.
This is the first time the inauguration ceremony will be held in Telavi and not in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.
Zurabishvili said that Telavi was her choice.
The ceremony organisers say that the inauguration will be ‘unassuming’, with traditional Georgian and European elements.
