A strong wind has broken trees, damaged cars and buildings in western Georgia including Imereti, Guria and Samegrelo regions last night.
Up to 500 rescuers have been mobilised by the Emergency Management Agency in the three regions.
The agency has received 250 reports in Imereti, most of them from Kutaisi where wind has damaged 150 trees, five cars and 170 buildings leaving them without a roof
Besides trees, cars and buildings, part of the electrical grid has been damaged in Guria.
