Georgia has 3,558,437 potential voters, preliminary data show

Data provided by the Public Service Development Agency shows that there are 3,558,437 potential voters in Georgia. The data was submitted to the Central Election Commission (CEC) yesterday.

“This data will be processed by the CEC for the presidential election. The final figure [of voters] will be known once all requirements of the legislation have been met to form the list”, CEC Chairwoman Tamar Zhvania said.

Per the Election Code of Georgia, the Public Service Development Agency provides the CEC with the necessary data to process voter lists four times per year and submits it to the commission during the election period upon request.

After the data is processed, a public version of the updated voter list will be made available to parties with electoral registration, to initiative groups, as well as to observer organisations and voters.
