25 candidates to run for president in upcoming elections

The Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced today that 25 candidates have been registered for the October 28 elections.
CEC stated that 46 candidates applied for registration. However, only 25 managed to present all the mandatory and valid documentation.
CEC said that candidates who were rejected for registration did not appeal the decision.
Registered candidates have the right to remove their candidacy through 16 October.
