Two employees of the Georgian Ministry of Defence and one other individual have been detained today by the military police for the illegal possession and sale of cartridges.
The Ministry of Defence reported at a special briefing today that the two individuals worked in departments of the ministry which are responsible for military armament.
The ministry said that they were selling the cartridges with the help of the third detainee.
The military police seized cartridges in large quantities from the apartments of the detainees,” the Defence Ministry wrote.
If confirmed the individuals will be sent to prison for 9-13 years.
The ministry did not identify the detainees.
