Georgian judoka wins world championship

Georgian Judoka Guram Tushishvili won the world championship several minutes ago. 

In the final competition in the over 100 category he defeated Ushangi Kokauri, a Georgian national who participated in the championship held in Baku with the name of Azerbaijan. 

Last year Tushishvili won the European championship. 

Tushishvili, 23, won the Grand Prix in Tbilisi and Zagreb in 2018.

He took gold at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2017. He is the World Cadet Champion of 2011.

Tushishvili became European Junior Champion Judo in 2013 and regained the title in 2015.

Georgia has gained two medals in the ongoing world judo championship for now. 

Varlam Liparteliani won a silver medal yesterday in the 100 kg category.
