New meat cannery to produce 100 tonnes of meat cans annually

A new meat cannery plant has opened in Georgia’s Dedoplistskaro municipality that will produce about 100 tonnes of different kinds of meat cans annually.

GeoNaturals built a new plant with the state project ‘United Agroproject’.

In total $380,660 was invested in the plant of which $190,300 was preferential agro credit and $152,300 was a state-issued grant.

Products produced by the new plant will be sold on the domestic market initially but the company plans to export products in the future.

The cannery employs 20 people. 

Since 2013 a total of 173 new enterprises have been financed within the ‘United Agroproject’ in Georgia.
