A total of 272 hospitals with 15,100 beds were in operation in Georgia in 2017, while the number of beds reached 13,800 in 2016, says the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Last year 27,400 doctors were employed in Georgia which is a three percent increase compared to 2016.
Also, the number of medical personal increased by 2.4 percent in 2017 compared to 2016 and reached 17,998.
