NBG revokes license of International Bank of Azerbaijan-Georgia

The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) has revoked the license of the International Bank of Azerbaijan-Georgia and the process of liquidation has started, the NBG has announced.

The shareholders of the International Bank of Azerbaijan-Georgia decided to cancel the banking license and transform it into a non-banking society and addressed the NBG with the corresponding request.

The NBG states that the claims of all creditors will be fully met during the liquidation process.

The bank liquidator Roin Tsatsiashvili announced that in order to ensure the timely and uninterrupted settlement of all liabilities of the International Bank of Azerbaijan-Georgia, the creditors should provide certain documents to the bank liquidator.

Individuals should provide identity documents, documents confirming his or her claims to the bank.

In case of legal entities, they should provide a record from the National Agency of Public Registry on the registration of the legal entity, identity document of the authorised person and documents confirming the legal entity claims to the bank.
