Russian Deputy FM: Russia also investigating case of poisonous liquid spill at Tbilisi Airport

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin says that Russia, through the mediation of the Swiss Embassy in Georgia, is studying the case of a poisonous liquid spill at Tbilisi International Airport by a Russian citizen on July 2, which poisoned eight people. 

We are trying to clarify all details of the case,” Karasin says.

Georgia and Russia do not have diplomatic ties since the Russia-Georgia 2008 war. Switzerland mediates between the two countries.

Georgian law enforcers have identified the detainee only as Dmitry B.
