Georgian Parliamentary Speaker visits Uzbekistan

Georgian Parliamentary Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze is paying a working visit to Uzbekistan.

The Georgian delegation led by Kobakhidze met with members of Uzbekistan’s State Committee of Investment yesterday.

Noting that Georgia and Uzbekistan have good potential for developing trade-economic relations, the parties discussed ways of deepening cooperation.

Kobakhidze has further scheduled meetings with high-ranking officials both from the executive and legislative bodies.

During the visit, a memorandum of inter-parliamentary cooperation will be signed. Kobakhidze will also meet with representatives of Georgian diaspora.

Prior to the visit to Uzbekistan, Kobakhidze visited Ukraine where he met with President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and Parliamentary Speaker Andriy Parubiy.
