Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili is paying an official state visit to Rome in order to stimulate new economic and business relations between the two nations.
The official part of the visit will start today with an Italy-Georgia Business Forum where Kvirikashvili is expected to speak.
During this state visit, Kvirikashvili will meet Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, in addition to Italian Foreign Minister Angelo Alfano, Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda and President Pietro Grasso of the Italian Senate.

Kvirikashvili will also deliver a public lecture at the Instituto Affari Internazionali.
The Georgian PM will then visit Italy’s ski resort of Kronplatz tomorrow – a mountain of the Dolomites in South Tyrol and another ski resort in northeast Italy – Madonna di Campiglio.
The PM will complete his visit to Italy and return to Georgia tomorrow on March 9.
