Georgian President sends warm wishes to Lithuanians on Independence Day

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili sent warm wishes to Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite on the Day of Restoration of Lithuania’s Independence today.

Our countries are bound by long-standing friendship and a strategic partnership based on shared values, mutual trust and respect. I remain confident that we will continue to build even stronger relations and intensify dialogue in every format for the mutual benefit of our two nations”, President Margvelashvili said.

In his congratulatory letter he also said he feels "delighted to observe the positive dynamics and further advancement of bilateral ties between Georgia and the Republic of Lithuania”.

Extending his gratitude for her "unwavering support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as our European and Euro-Atlantic aspiration”, Margvelashvili asked Grybauskaite to receive his "highest consideration along with my best wishes for peace and prosperity to the friendly Lithuanian people”.
