Georgian PM offers condolences to France after deadly school bus crash

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has sent a message of solidarity to France after children were killed and injured in a school bus crash.

Kvirikashvili said he is "deeply saddened” by the accident that occurred in the city of Perpignan in southern France.

"My sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the people and the Government of France”, he said.

Four children were killed and several others injured after a school bus, carrying about 20 children aged between 11 and 15, was cut into two after a crash with a train.

Eight people remain in serious condition, including seven children and the bus driver.

The cause of the horrific accident is being investigated.
