Three Georgian soldiers wounded in Afghanistan

Georgia’s Deference Ministry has reported that three Georgian soldiers have received light wounds when patrolling the perimeter near the Bagram airfield in Afghanistan. 

 The ministry announced that Major Papuna Khorava, Corporal Omar Beridze and Corporal Nugzar Osanadze are being treated at the military hospital of the Bagram airfield. 

Their life is not at risk,” the ministry reported. 

All the wounded soldiers belong to the 31st infantry battalion of the 3rd infantry brigade, participating in the NATO Resolute Support Mission (RSM). 

Georgia is the largest non-NATO contributor to the RSM mission with 885 troops.
