Trade and economic relations between Georgia and Kazakhstan have been discussed as Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili received Kazakh Minister of Investment and Development Zhenis Kassymbek in Tbilisi today.
The parties praised the existing trade-economic relations between the two countries and expressed their readiness to further intensify cooperation in these fields.
The pair also reviewed the ongoing infrastructure projects in Georgia and the economic environment in the region.

Kvirikashvili and Kassymbek talked about possible intensification of cooperation in the field of railway and transportation.
Kvirikashvili said that Kazakhstan is an important partner to Georgia.
Kassymbek said he desired for Kazakh companies to get engaged in the ongoing infrastructural projects in Georgia.
The pair also discussed regional infrastructural projects and their cooperation within the New Silk Road project.
Kvirikashvili invited the Kazakh delegation to participate in the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum this November.
